Create Your Roadmap

Heir Atlas was created in 2011 by a group of financial professionals who ran into some disturbing realities regarding asset disappearance.

“She knows” or “My attorney has it all” will get you into trouble.

We enter into relationships with the best of intentions. As a marriage matures, for example, we tend to take on responsibilities. “I pay the bills, he cooks” and so on. Over time, our efforts become part of us and not the partner. The statement “she knows” becomes part of the equation. People then assume their significant other or caregiver knows where to look for accounts, policies, benefits, and more, if and when the time comes. After all, they used to know, right? They assume that, if there is a reason to make a claim on an insurance policy, it will happen. They assume their attorney or agent will be there to help.

Heir Atlas is the solution to the flaws inherent in conventional storage methods: the shoe box, the spreadsheet, the loose files and assumptions of knowledge.

Does your family know where everything is? Would they know whom to call?

Your attorney has everything? Well, how old is she? Will she be retiring? Has she worked with you to update your file annually, and will that continue throughout your life? Are you aware that there is over $50billion of unclaimed assets in the United States? And that is just what the states hold. Are you aware of the recent ~$500million settlement between 34 states and some Life Insurance companies? Has your family experienced lost or forgotten bank or investment accounts? Has your family experienced “evaporating” insurance policies? We have a better system.

Meet our founder, Lester

As Les has grown his practice, he has taken notice of the realities of financial planning. He noticed the chasm that exists in what should be all-encompassing financial planning, especially in addressing our later years. How is it that so many of us lose things?

Les comes to this field with a very broad financial background. He spent 28 years in a variety of positions on Wall Street, where he started as a compliance officer. He worked in administration, trading, sales, and more. He prefers low risk and “guarantees”, and has an ability to simplify explanations of what, why and how. Les has achieved various FINRA registrations, and is a Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).

Lester resides in Westchester County, New York with his family and stays very busy working with clients across the country.
